Who am I?

Born in 2006, Hugo is an upcoming artist who currently lives in Staffordshire. Coming from the dreary hometown of Dover, Kent, Hugo had always found an intrinsic joy when it came to artistic expression. Hiding in the corner to draw instead of talking and humming songs under his breath that he heard on the radio eventually blossomed into his current passion for music and illustration.Saddened by the limitations of his high school's music course not allowing him entry, Hugo turned to an acoustic guitar gifted by an old friend and began to teach himself how to play it. Soon, he found a passion for playing and writing music as well as just listening to it, which lead him to begin taking vocal lessons under Julia Mosley.After surviving high school in all it's adolescent terrors, Hugo began studying music performance at Newcastle-Under-Lyme's NSCG College. There, he met and somehow befriended fellow musician Andonis Weather, and formed a new-wave inspired duo called "Schwimmbad". The bizarre name, translating to "Swimming Pool", was one of Hugo's suggestions, stemming from his very minimal ability to speak German.Currently, he is focusing his work on Schwimmbad's up and coming debut single, "How To Catch A Fallen Star". The release is planned for the 26th of April, 2024.

Thudding drum machines, preceded by a lonely, scratched record. These things soundtrack Hugh's longing. Ultimately, it is about missing someone dear to you. The pain of being lonely when you know that you are only alone for a little while.
